DESCRIPTION:Join us as two hit songwriters including David Lee and Anthony Smith bring great music and fabulous stories to the theatre. \nDavid Lee and co-writer Tony Lane landed their first cut together “This Old Heart” on Terri Clark’s “How I Feel”\, shortly after he penned John Michael Montgomery’s title cut “This One’s Gonna Leave a Mark”. His first Top 10 came with Leann Womack’s “Now You See Me Now you Don’t”\, followed by Brad Martin’s “Before I Knew Better” in 2002. \nIn 2003 David signed with BMG Music Publishing and co-wrote his first #1 song “19 Somethin” for Mark Wills\, in 2004 “Letters From Home” for John Michael Montgomery\, followed by “Lucky Man” performed by Montgomery Gentry. In 2008 Tim McGraw and Faith Hill sung Lee’s riveting love song “I Need You” for which Lee received a Song of the Year Grammy nomination. \nSongs written by Anthony Smith are woven into the fabric of country music. His songs have shaped the careers for some of the most iconic country music artists like George Strait\, Tim McGraw\, Blake Shelton\, Chris Stapleton\, Eric Church\, Montgomery Gentry and others. \nAnthony has the uncanny and rare talent of writing songs in ways that have never been written before\, that generates visuals and impacts emotions for listeners. DESCRIPTION:Join us for Opera House Outdoors on Friday\, May 16 in the 600 block of Franklin Street in Pella\, Iowa. \nHeadlining this year’s event is ONE NIGHT OF QUEEN\, sponsored by Pella Corporation as part of their Centennial Celebration! One Night Of Queen is touring throughout the US in 2025 and bringing their celebrated show to Opera House Outdoors for one night only! Their performance begins around 8 pm. \nIn addition to One Night Of Queen\, the music starts at 4 pm with singer/songwriter Robbie Michael\, followed at 5:30 by Dutch Front Band. In between bands\, the street will rock to our favorite playlists while we set up for the next set! \nMuch of Franklin Street will be fenced off for alcohol sales. To enter the fenced area\, you must be 21 or older and have a wristband. Wristbands may be purchased on the day of the show with a 21+ ID for each band. Wristband sales begin at 8 am at The Bread Board and at 1 pm at the Pella Opera House. Pre-purchased bands must be picked up at the Pella Opera House after 1 pm. IDs will be required for each band. \nFood trucks will be available on East 1st between Franklin and the alley. Bring your lawn chair to sit either inside or outside the fence! \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				To enter the fenced area\, you must be 21 or older and have a wristband. Wristbands may be purchased on the day of the show for $15 each. ALL wristbands must be picked up on the day of the show with a 21+ ID for each band. \nSpace is available at the west end of the 600 block of Franklin Street to set up your lawn chairs and listen for FREE. \nThe Pella Opera House is proud to provide quality arts entertainment and special events to Pella and surrounding communities at affordable rates.
